   Suggestion – since the device code is so easily misread why to include the capability to either copy the code to the iPhone paste buffer or to send an email including the code. iIlL1 are not easily discerned in many fonts. being able to past it into an email would eliminate the confusion.

   Just recently updated from an iPhone 5 to the 5s – restored everything from iCloud – all data was there – but now the feature where I can send the tracking number from my browser to my phone is not working – it is not generating an error message -but the push notification is not being sent to my phone.

   Hi,

   There is a bug in the current version and push won’t work unless the device is re-registered. Please turn off the push setting then turn back on. You will receive new device code and the new one works with push notification.

   Hi Hiro,

   I used to used “TrackThis”, but they stopped their app. I had heard that “Slice” was a TOP RATED app for Tracking Packages.

   Your APP is SO much better than “TrackThis” and quite frankly, “Slice” SUCKS!!!

   P.S. The only suggestion I can give you is: After you click “Send To My Device” and then click “Enter More Data”, The “Label” and “Tracking No” fields should be CLEARED OUT and made BLANK so you can move on to inputting your next package faster and easier. It’s kind of a hassle because you have to delete/clear out the “Previous Label” and “Tracking No:” from the previous package.

   I am in the exact same situation as Moose (the commenter just above me):

   I too used to use TrackThis, until they disabled their app. I also tried Slice, and a bunch of other package tracking apps, and like yours the best by far.

   I have a couple of feature requests, if you don’t mind. Sorry for comparing your app to TrackThis, but I’m hoping you can incorporate some of its awesome features into your already-awesome app, to make your app even awesomer, so I can stay loyal to your app, and recommend it even more to my friends.

   1. TrackThis let the user choose, for each package, whether to get push notifications for every single tracking update, or whether to get push notifications only when the package was out for delivery, delivered, or delayed. I would love to have this option, because in almost every situation, I don’t want to bugged by notifications for every single tracking update. This is my #1 request.

   2. TrackThis had a feature to auto-detect the carrier, based on the tracking number. That would be nice.

   3. Apps such as Parcel and Track Packages have built-in barcode scanners. That would be nice as well.

   4. TrackThis used packagetrackr.com to track packages from carriers such as OnTrac. Amazon often ships through OnTrac; the ability to track packages from them and other carriers, through packagetrackr.com, would be nice.

   5. TrackThis had a web interface at usetrackthis.com, where users could log in and add packages. This was very handy, because I found it much faster to copy and paste a tracking number from my email into the tracker on my laptop web browser than on the app on my phone. I understand that you have a bookmarklet, but if I understand it correctly, it works only if the tracking number is displayed on a webpage. I use an external email client—Apple Mail—so if I understand it correctly, the bookmarklet wouldn’t help me.

   Do you think you might implement any of these features anytime soon?

    Hi,

    Thanks for the comment. Here are the response. (Sorry for taking long time)

    1. That’s nice feature. We will support giving user a choice to select push notification frequency.
    2. My Package support carrier auto detect. Though it may not be as good as TrackThis app. We will continue improving this.
    3. We are receiving many requests for supporting barcode scanner and we are thinking about how to fit in this.
    4. Depending third party service will easily expand carrier support but it also rely on core feature to third party service. And once dependent web service shutdown or change the policy, that might kill the app. We are really careful about this. Our current plan is small carrier support but control everything by ourself. We will support carrier as much as we can. Sorry, OnTrac is unable to support right now

    5. Sorry having an we site is out of scope. We designed this app for quick usage without registering web site nor sharing your email account. We still want to keep this design.

    You can still Bookmarklet with extra steps. Copy the tracking number on your email to the clipboard, click bookmarklet on your browser and send it to your device. To open bookmarklet, you might need to select any text in the web page but still it is faster than entering the tracking number on the device.

    Thanks, Hiro, for your detailed response, and no worries about the delay. I’m impressed that you responded at all, let alone in detail, as many developers don’t give customers the time of day.

    Your explanations make sense. I’m glad you’re planning to implement some of the features in which I expressed interest.

    I don’t access my email through my web browser, so the bookmarklet doesn’t seem to be particularly useful to me, but it’s useful in the rare case that I get a tracking number from a website.

    I look forward to seeing what you come up with.
